Camellia and Lotus’s Benefits in Skincare

Camellia and lotus have amazing benefits for skincare ranging from hydrating to brightening and more.  All SeSpring products have our signature combination of camellia and lotus and other ingredients from nature to refresh and hydrate your skin.  We chose these ingredients because of their range of beneficial effects in skincare.  What can camellia and lotus do for your skin? Read on to find out!

All About Camellia in Skincare

Camellia is a powerful ingredient in skincare with many beneficial effects.  Camellia is intensely hydrating, protects the skin from drying out, and replenishes vital elements needed in the skin. Camellia’s molecular makeup is similar to the oil our skin produces by itself. This allows allows it to be quickly and easily absorbed deep into the skin.  It won’t leave a greasy residue on the skin, either! Camellia has also been shown to soothe irritation, increase healing, and fight bacteria.

Camellia is packed with skin-perfecting antioxidants, plant collagen, and squalene.  Antioxidants act to protect the skin from free radical damage. Squalene and collagen are both produced naturally in the body, but we produce less over time.  Squalene is an essential part of the skin’s protection and hydration system. Collagen plays a role in cell restoration and new cell growth and promotes skin elasticity. As a result, camellia is hydrating, replenishing, soothing, and protecting; a great ingredient in skincare!

All About Lotus in Skincare

Lotus is another powerful ingredient in skincare with many beneficial effects.  It promotes skin brightening, balances the skin, and helps keep skin nourished and hydrated. Lotus is also packed with skin-perfecting antioxidants. Antioxidants protect the skin from free radicals that damage skin and cause signs of aging. Lotus has also been shown to have significant skin brightening effects, as well as improving skin elasticity. Improved elasticity means stronger skin cells and firmer-looking skin. Lotus is also high in Vitamin A. Vitamin A helps heal skin and adds to lotus’s natural soothing effects.

Lotus is a natural skin balancer and can help with oil control without stripping the skin of its moisture.  In fact, lotus itself is known to be intensely hydrating. It is also high in alpha-hydroxy acids that help restore and exfoliate the skin. Because of these properties in lotus, it is protecting, brightening, balancing, and hydrating! Another great skincare ingredient.

When combined together, camellia and lotus are an incredible combination in skincare.  These two powerhouse ingredients are in all of our products! Shop now at SeSpring!
